Junk Removal in NYC, We Bring the Dumpster and Take Everything.
Triborough Trucking hauls away furniture, mattresses, appliances, and whatever else has piled up, in apartments, houses, offices, and estates across the five boroughs. We bring the dumpster, we carry it all out, and usable items are donated. Paul, the owner, quotes it from your photos.

Junk removal clears the items you want gone. If you need a whole apartment, house, or office emptied, that is a cleanout, and the same crew does it. Most people call us after something has happened: a closing, a lease ending, a family member who has died, or a basement nobody has wanted to face.
What We Haul Away, From One Couch to a Whole Floor of Furniture
We take furniture, mattresses and box springs, appliances, rugs, boxes, clothing, office furniture, and the general contents of a basement, attic, or garage. If it is in the space and you want it gone, assume it goes with us and send a photo if you are not sure.
Most jobs are bigger than one item. A relative's apartment after a lifetime in it holds beds, a dining set, a wall unit, and closets full of the rest. We carry it all out so you do not have to sort or lift any of it.
Estate Cleanouts in NYC: Clearing a Home After a Death or Before a Sale
An estate cleanout rarely starts with the furniture. It starts with a date from a closing, a landlord, or a probate timeline, and a family that does not all live nearby. We work to your deadline.
Before the crew arrives, walk the home and take out what cannot be replaced: wills, deeds, bank and tax records, insurance policies, passports, photographs, and jewelry. Check coat pockets, the backs of drawers, and tins in the basement. If the estate is in probate, confirm you have authority to clear the property first. Then tell us what stays, and it stays.
Usable Furniture and Household Items Are Donated
Paul donates what can be reused. A solid dresser, a working table, or a set of dishes does not need to go to a landfill. It matters to families clearing a parent's home, and it keeps the load smaller.

Junk Removal From Walk-Ups, Elevator Buildings, and Co-ops
A walk-up means everything comes down the stairs by hand, and that is why the number of flights goes into the price. Managed and co-op buildings usually require a certificate of insurance before a crew works there, and a reserved elevator window. We furnish the certificate, naming the building as an additional insured. Send the building's requirements when you book.
How to Get a Space Ready Before the Junk Removal Crew Arrives
Decide what stays before the crew comes, and make it obvious. Move the keep pile into one room, or put tape on the pieces that stay. Photograph anything of value for your own records. Anything you are unsure about is easier to settle with Paul before the day.
Check with your building. Co-ops and managed buildings may need the elevator reserved and a certificate of insurance on file, and some limit hours for hauling. Clear a path from the rooms to the door, and tell us if the space is a walk-up so the crew is sized to it. If you will not be there, leave clear instructions on access and on what stays.
Free Curbside Bulk Pickup or a Crew: Which Fits Your Job
New York City picks up bulk items from residential buildings at the curb for free, up to six items on a collection day, and the items go out the night before. For one or two pieces and a free evening, that works.
It does not help with the carrying, the stairs, or a full apartment, and mattresses, electronics, and appliances that hold refrigerant have rules of their own. A crew does the lifting and takes it all out on the day you book.
What Sets the Price of Junk Removal in NYC
- The volume, meaning how much truck and dumpster space the load fills
- Stairs, and whether there is an elevator
- How far the carry is from your door to the truck
- Heavy items such as a safe, a piano, or a pool table
- Items with disposal rules of their own, like a refrigerator or a television
Send photos or a short video of the space. Paul gives you a price before the day, and tells you up front if something will push it. That price is what you pay.
Junk Removal in Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, the Bronx, and Staten Island
We haul across all five boroughs. See our pages for Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, the Bronx, and Staten Island for how access works in each. Clearing out before a move? A small move can take the few pieces you are keeping to the new place.
Junk Removal and Cleanout FAQs
What is the difference between junk removal and a cleanout?
Junk removal is for a pile: a few pieces of furniture, an old mattress, the contents of a closet or basement corner. A cleanout empties a whole space, such as an apartment, a house, an office, or an estate. We do both with the same dumpster and crew, and the cleanouts page covers the whole-space job.
How much does junk removal cost in NYC?
It depends on how much there is, how many stairs it has to come down, how far the carry is to the truck, and whether anything is heavy. We do not publish a rate. Send photos or a short video and you get a price before the day. The price quoted is the price you pay.
Can you clear out an estate for the family?
Yes. Estate cleanouts are a large share of what we do. Tell us the deadline, whether a closing or a lease end sets it, and what stays. Before we start, walk the home and take out anything that cannot be replaced, such as papers, photographs, and keepsakes.
What happens to the furniture and items you take?
Usable items are donated. Whatever cannot be reused is hauled away.
What can you not take?
Household hazardous waste such as paint, solvents, and gasoline, pressurized tanks like propane, and asbestos or lead paint materials need a licensed handler and cannot ride in a hauler's truck. Tell us what is in the space and we will say plainly what needs a different path.
Do I have to be there?
Not for the whole job, as long as we have access and clear instructions on anything that stays. Paul confirms the time with you the day before.
